A collective shout out!

This week’s Team Shout Out takes on a collective style! A growing group of men and women are stepping up to carry the strategic leadership of the work of Dignity in Zambia. They are farmers, housewives, business people and parents. Each of them volunteers their time for about 2 weeks every month to share the good news of Jesus with those around them. They travel to neighbouring communities and they take day long bus rides to come and meet with us.

Why do they do this? They’ve seen and experienced the difference that following Jesus together makes in their communities. They have seen people helped practically, they’ve seen people set free from addiction, they’ve seen lives and communities turned around for good. They are willing to make sacrifices in their day to day lives to make a difference in the lives of those around them. Today we are championing each of these incredible men and women! THANK YOU!!!

This photo was taken when the team recently met at Jon and Jude Witt’s home in Zambia. They had a great morning talking together about the different issues facing the teams and how they can overcome them together. Their commitment to overcome challenges from within the community is impressive.

These men and women have recognised that their communities do not need more ‘stuff’, they need hope. That’s why the message of Jesus is so very important. People knowing God and loving others, taking responsibility for themselves and their community brings hope!
