Life Matures

We are delighted to announce that Foundations 4: Life Matures is here, completing the Foundations series!

Foundations is a course that helps people explore and grow in their relationship with God and encourages them to serve their community. We started the process of creating Foundations in 2017 with the aim of providing high quality materials that could be used in a variety of geographical locations and cultural groups around the world. A wonderful mix of authors contributed a chapter each and we have edited them together to create a set of four books, each containing thirteen interactive group study sessions.

Foundations 1: Life Begins is aimed at those with new or no faith. From simple beginnings it leads people along the early steps of faith and knowing God.

Foundations 2: Life Grows builds the foundations on which faith can grow and gives some doctrinal understanding to underpin use of the Bible and prayer.

Foundations 3: Life Creates concentrates on how disciples living in community can transform what is around them. A healthy Christian naturally re-creates the life that they have been given in their community and in other people.

Foundations 4: Life Matures explores what a mature Christian looks like. This book carries on the themes of the rest of the series, deepening and extending them.

Whilst we have been finishing Foundations 4, we have also been working on translating the earlier books in the series, with the Bemba translations well underway and others following along not too far behind.

We know that opening the Bible and studying together has powerful results, so we are really excited to see how Life Groups make use of Foundations and the impact it will have as a tool in their hands.

As the rain and the snow
    come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
    without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
it will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Isaiah 55:10-11
