Meeting a need

July 2nd, 2020 Posted by News No Comment yet

Imagine that back in March you heard about a disease called COVID-19. You heard that it could kill you but you never heard how you could protect yourself. How would you feel?

For many people in rural villages of Zambia this is what they experienced. Whilst information was shared by radio, our teams are regularly finding that people either did not hear the information or they did not understand what it meant for them. There has been fear, mistrust and confusion.

Thanks to our COVID-19 information sheets, Life Groups have been well equipped and able to share information with others. People are eager to understand and protect themselves. In one area, a local clinic has asked our team members if they can provide some information as they have not received any through official channels.

So we are printing more copies of our COVID-19 leaflets. These will be distributed by our teams in the areas they have identified as lacking information. We are happy to share this information as widely as possible simply because it is the right thing to do.

Please pray that fear and confusion will be overcome by love and understanding.

“There is no fear in love; perfect love drives out all fear.” – 1 John 4:18 (The Bible, GNT)

If you would like to help us cover the cost of printing and distributing this second round of leaflets, you can do so at totalgiving.co.uk/donate/dignity (Mention COVID-19 in the message to help us allocate your gift correctly)
