In March, Bernard was able to reach Chambeshi, just outside of Kasama. For the first time, we were able to introduce Dignity into the Northern Province. The Northern Province is one of the last Zambian provinces where Life Groups aren’t already meeting, and so the Dignity Zambia team committed themselves to reaching out to them at the start of the year.
Bernard spent time with Musonda who was so encouraged when he heard about what Dignity is doing in the villages of Zambia and rural Africa. He was particularly struck by Dignity’s mission to unite the Christian family- working in villages where people are being excluded from the resources in the town.
He was able to learn from Bernard about how even though Christians may be from different denominations, this does not necessarily mean that we are separated, but we are in fact one in Christ. Although Musonda was the only person Bernard was able to spend time with and really go into how Dignity works, he was clearly very impressed and excited! Musonda has started to organise a group of people to gather and listen to other speakers and Bernard will be returning once this group is established to teach them how to plant Life Groups!
You can pray for:
- Encouragement for Musonda as he begins to gather people together.
- The right people to gather for the training event when Bernard returns.
- Open hearts to what God is saying for Chambeshi and the surrounding communities.
