Last week, Jo and Frank reached Ganze, where they met up with Joseph – our new Kenyan mission volunteer (read more here) – who has been helping support the 7 Life Groups there and working to plant new ones.
Their first stop was a Life Group in Kidongo:
The Kidongo Life Group has been meeting every Monday for an entire year, and is lead by a man named Rodgers Thethe. Some of the members of the group are Christians – but some, however, are not. There is one lady who attends regularly that is Muslim, who comes to learn what the Bible says.
Members of the Life Group have said:
“It’s good to be in a life group”
“I have learnt that the relationships that grow in life groups help people to know Jesus.”
They were then able to do some training with Joseph in Ganze, and several people from Kidongu attended. The training itself went really and it was a great opportunity to see how Joseph has been getting on and to build a greater understanding for the needs of Life Groups in Kenya. After the training was completed, they said that they think there is potential for 10 more Life Groups to take shape!
