Tuesday 3rd of December is….. GIVING TUESDAY!!
We are excited to confirm that this year we have £ for £ match funding for the first £1,000 given on Giving Tuesday.
As the local team in Zambia has matured and strengthened over the years, we have been able to focus our central work on pioneering, going to new areas where the church is weak, finding the people through whom God will reach the wider community and helping them work together through Life Groups.
That said we are committed to journeying closely and caring deeply for our longer serving, well established teams in Zambia. Throughout December we will be take time to visit teams in 4 different areas: Luapula, North-Western, Central and Southern Zambia. We will facilitate localised EQUIP camps, trouble shooting any issues that are particular to each area and working to build up the teams and encourage them as required.
These smaller EQUIP camps are a vital part of walking with our more established teams. They give us a chance to listen carefully to what our teams are saying, respond appropriately and walk forward together, stronger.
Typically it costs us about £500 to run a regional EQUIP camp, plus the staff time we invest. This £500 covers transport to and from the area, books and resources needed for Life Groups, accommodation and food. We want to run 4 regional EQUIP camps in December, with a total cost of £2,000.
Any gift you give on Giving Tuesday will be allocated to these regional EQUIP camps. The first £1,000 given will be matched £ for £!
